Thanks to Josh for sharing his tattoo story.

Kodama (spirit in Japanese folklore which inhabit trees).

It was inked as Josh loves anime, especially Studio Ghibli, a particular favourite and feels nostalgic as he used to spend time watching them as a child. This tattoo is from Princess Mononoke where Kodama live in the forest.

Josh says the Kodama reminds him of the forest and it looks a bit like an alien, a welcoming alien, of course and these two combined together give Josh such a good feeling and always makes him smile.

Every time he looks at the tattoo these feelings of nostalgia come back, a daily visual reminder of good feelings.
